| Anyone Know a Good Tech for V72 in Brooklyn/NYC? Hi All, I had an unfortunate event with Fed Ex shipping a Siemens/Telefunken V72 preamp to Brooklyn and am looking for a good, honest, relatively prompt tech in Brooklyn or NYC to get it back in working order. As I'm not with the unit I can't answer many questions. It was working when it left and got dropped. The faceplate is bent but it was inside an SBK ATA case inside a box surrounded with packing material so it was well protected. It may be as easy as a tube knocked out or it may need some work. Either way I doubt it's a big deal but as this is piece of gear is so much more desirable in its stock state, I'm looking for someone who could replace parts with exact parts or at least has a keen sensitivity to that kind of thing and vintage equipment in general. I called Gotham and would consider using them but am imagining there might be a smaller, great tech who specializes more in this type of thing. (Though I don't know Gotham at all and have no experience with them--just a sense I got from their web site and the call.) Thanks in advance for your valuable input. Best, Eben Carlson |

| Thanks for the connects gentlemen. If anyone knows a drop dead good Telefunken tech nationally, I'd be interested as well. Eben |
