Who in L.A. can work on an old spring reverb?

Yep, I bought a non-functioning Fairchild spring reverb unit (knew it didn't work) It looks to be in great condition, just no sound and I'm no tech...

Any suggestions on who would be good to work on this baby?

Your help appreciated.

I would probably start with TrueTone Music in Santa Monica. I know that they work on lots of old Fender spring reverbs there and I would be surprised if they couldn't help you with this one too. Or at least guide you to someone who could.

And woud any of the guys like Ian at Boutique Audio be good or is that not their cup of tea?

Thanks!

I hadn't thought of that, but they might be able to help. Along the same lines you could also give a call to David Kulka & his gang at Studio Electronics in Burbank. I think that they are a smart bunch and straight shooters.

Another good idea, in fact I just bought an Eventide 949 from them (David), duh, I should have thought of that!

Thanks all.

This isn't exactly in town (he's in Palmdale), but the Jule Amps guy might be able to help you. He builds Mark Sampsons Starr amps and makes an old school Fender style spring reverb. I'm not sure if he doesn repair work, but he is uber knowledgable... www.juleamps.com.

My Recordings/Credits

Jule moved his operation up to Frazier Park, CA about 45 minutes north of LA. Very talented guy.
