well after having a loan of a SSL preamp (thanks Scott!) ive decided i really REALLY need to upgrade a few things.

im currently using a FW410 interface, which im changing to a MOTU 24io in order to work properly with my Soundtraks MIDI PC console (24/48:8:2) but i need to upgrade my monitors, something around $2k australian dollars is what im thinking. for the party vibe, and to check the "club sound" of my tracks i switch to a JBL PA. not perfect i know, but im not planning on spending $15,000 on studio monitors.

so, please suggest so monitors in this price range. bear in mind i write very bass heavy music so i need to hear down to 30hz. active or passive is no issue as i have many amps and digital cross-overs lying around.
