Running costs of SSL

So- I'm thinking of changing consoles and switching my DDA Profile for an SSL (probablly a 48ch E but depends on what's around at what price!!)
What I really want to know is how the running costs (power consumption) will compare.
I don't know what the DDA actually consumes but it's not breaking the bank! It's 56 ch and has uptown automation accross the board. Is the SSL going to be that much worse?

Its not a done deal as I love the Profile but clients like SSL and if I move rooms it will be much more important to covert more of the good enquiries into sessions!

Funny you should ask. I asked the same thing recently... and got a bunch of great replies. Look here. I decided not to go with an SSL... I bought an Amek Mozart with 40 Rupert Neve Modules instead.

THANK YOU!!

I think I'm sticking with the Profile for another year- I love it and it means I can do other thing too... but I know when I do see the right deal I needent worry too much about the SSL bankrupting me!

And double that for the macine room and control room HVAC Systems.
Then there is maintaining it...

But you have to maintain ANY console, it's a lot easier to find a good SSL guy than a good DDA guy too!
