So far we at Atlas have sold about half of the units that have come into production. Not one problem encountered. If there is a problem or two that has been encountered by some users, you have to remember that this unit is in it's infancy, well under serial number 100. That kind of thing happens often with some boutique pro audio manufacturers with brand new designs (not that this makes it excusable). BTW, we give the item extra QC when it comes becomes part of our stock (all dealers should do this) that way you don't have a DOA unit when it arrives to you, unless of course UPS or FedEx takes it upon themselves to drop the item off a 10 story building. Even then your gear is replaced by us immediately with a new unit.

How does this 2ch version compare to the larger 8ch AD that Mytek makes? Never had a chance to hear them but would love too. Some have said that the Myteks have a transparent tone to them. I.E. what you feed in is what you get out. Is this true about their AD as well as their DA?

Sounds the same to me...

That's the general philosophy of Mytek, to be as close to reality as possible. I personally think they do a great job, but of course there are a lot of great converters out there too.
