Main Monitors for a 75 m3 Control Room

Hi!
I'm building a new studio and looking for main monitors. The control room will be about 75 m3, and the budget up to 9.000 euros, although the least the best!!

I've been looking at genelec 1038's, but just because those are the only mains that I could test. Any other recomendations?

Also, any shop in Europe where I can get a good deal?

Thanks!

wow for that size you need a PA system

good luck with it

I love my Focals Sm11 - they are pretty big sounding but your room is huuuuuuge. Worth a try in any case.

Do you mean 50m3 or 50m2 ?? if you mean 50m3 then your room is about 20-25 square meters (m2) depending on your ceiling height. Its a big difference of 20 or 50 square meters :-)

You should take a listen to Dynaudio AIR20 or AIR25. Great speakers...

If your room is 50m2 then you should do yourself a favor and listen to B&W 801/802 Nautilus, together with a great amplifier. The same that Abbey Road use, among others. They need a good room but when you get that sound, they sound fantastic great! Should be able to find a used pair for about 5-6000€ and the rest goes for a good amplifier. Check out Bruce Swediens choise, the Danish company "Electrocompaniet" AW180 (monoblocks).

Remember that your room decide if it will sound good or GREAT

Good luck!

Hi,

I guess you mean 50m2.

Our control room is about 60 m2, and we have Quested 215 and I'm happy with them.
Also the 412, like Lindell said are great. Should be possible to get used, talk to Mark from Funky Junk.

No, I really meant m3. The proportions will be aprox. 5 x 4 x 2'7.
Thanks for the replies, BTW. They don't sell the Qested anymore, do they?
Which model would you recomend?
