The pre amp in the '69 has a nice push in the midrange. The compressor is great.

i use the pre in my 1969 all the time. it is way better than i thought it would be when i bought it (i got it mainly for the compressor)

one word of caution if youre already using one - DO NOT PLUG ITS OUTPUTS INTO A PHANTOM POWERED INPUT. the 48v will go back up the line and burn out the caps in the 1969. i think this happens on other gear too.

anyway, the pre totally rocks and so does the "aux input" (i wish i could use the eq from the DI on the mic inputs)

Isn't cello gone now? I thought I heard something about that.

The amp I have my eye on these days is the Halcro. Just met with them at CES to see what they might do in pro in the future.
