After having tested S2A's with the Sub P I decided to order the S3A's and will wait to see if I'll miss the extended bass response. I'll probably borrow the Sub P again just to hear the difference. Great Monitors... lots of good threads here check it out...

There is a thread about 2.5 and 3 on fletchers rec pit PSW forum. Esp. Barefoot comments about speaker design, woofer resonances are good read.

However, does anyone heard S4V-A ? The cheapest one with ART midrange? Looking at the whole ADAM range, they look like S5A cut in half...

Bill Dooley owns a pair of S4V-As - he has them in Paramount Recording's mastering room.

I'm sure that if you post a question about them in his forum over on the Musicplayer boards, he'll be glad to tell you what he thinks of them:

I like my s3a's better than the Genelec 1031's, the event 20-20's, more balanced sounding to me, with a wider wet spot, whoops sweet spot

Fletcher > as far as I know, jules has the columns (S4C), it has two woofers (the same as 2.5 has) and midrange and tweet. S4V has the same woofer as S5 (S5 has two), midrange (S5 has two) and tweeter.

Bryce > thanks...
