check the gearslutz classifieds, it is posted there too.

Looks like one monster end-all-be-all summing mixer of all time. I like it, one has to admire the sheer will it took to construct it.

Very cool idea. I don't know about $35k though. I'm sure that much money's worth of effort went into it but to try and get that back on a one off? Good luck. Still wish I had it. Were it more in the $5-10k range and I'm sure it would have been snapped up. What would be really cool is if Millenia or someone made something like this. Something like their STT-1 but as a summing box. Add some more D connectors for channel inserts and a main bus inserts and you can patch in all the delicious outboard. Hmmnnn... Dreaming?

So what makes this thing better than a couple of Dangerous 2 busses for over $30,000 less.
Sorry but I don`t get it.

Maybe you could enlighten him and the rest of us instead of answering like that......it doesnt seem to be that unreasonable of a question. 4 Dangerous 2 buss are still only a little over one quarter of the price you're asking for this summing box and its an unknown....Sure you have the sexy names in there but they mean nothing if the proof isnt in the pudding....I'm sure someone with your advanced ear development would certainly agree.

Batcave..

Whilst i offer the biggest in props for such an ingenious idea, and its one that i have kicked around for eons with my mate who runs group DIY on the infamous RO,which no doubt sounds awesome..

But seriously dude take a chill pill and sit back and enjoy the scenary and people.. cos the peace police might get grumpy at having to deal with that kinda attitude. Not everyone around here has made platinum albums and worked with the best people and gear and got 'golden ears'.

And all the best with selling your mixbuss.. cos im sure its gona make someone happy!

Whoa! Scathing remark. ouch!

Your right about the cost though. I didn`t mean it that literally.

As for my ears I would actually have to hear this monster next to something like the Dangerous 2 to actually determine if it made some huge sonic improvement as would anybody.
I think it takes a little more than a bunch of signature parts lumped together in a creative way to warrant that kind of price.
Quite frankly you could add 4 Dangerous 2 buss + 20 - 30 API 550b eq if you just needed that "2520 sound"

Again don`t take this to literally.

I know it`s not even close tothe same thing
But why would somebody buy this thing when there are things that are as cheap as the Dangerous around.

You can buy a very nice flow blown mixer for this kind of money. ( although not a 64 channel of course)

As always feel free to enlighten me as I am no electronics whiz.

I`m just curious which did in fact kill the cat.

Apology

I'm sorry about going off last night. I guess I felt a little defensive. I know this box seems Hyped. It was always intended to. The music biz thrives on hype. When you combine hype with all the real parts and engineering to back it up you really have something! The only reason someone would shell out the dough to buy this box is if they knew it could make them back some serious money in the work they do. This box is the real deal and is the only thing like it I have ever seen. The different mix busses give you the ability to hear your DAW mix through a variety of sonic flavors (the Dangerous does not have this ability). A dear friend and brilliant designer named Fred Cameron and his son built it for me about a year and a half ago. I have had them build many boxes for me over the years. I'm sorry to say Fred recently passed away due to a battle with cancer but his son is still able to maintain this mixer if necessary.

Had no Idea that Fred had passed,as he had helped the studio that I work at in the past,it is a great loss. Sounds like a hell of box. And knowing who it was built by makes it even cooler. Wish I had the money to burn. Great box, good luck in the sale.

I actually just looked at the ebay auction again.
For some reason I missed the fact that you actually pick 1 of 5 different busses to go out of. That is actually a very cool idea.
I must have seen the price figured it was bullshit and neglected to actually read it.
Forgive me for my ignorance Batcave and I`m very sorry about your friend passing away.
