| Old tape??? Hey guys, hope everyone had a good holiday. For X-mas I got an old reel of 1/4" tape from my Grandma and was currious of the proper way to "bake" tape in an oven ( what temp., duration, etc.) ![]() |

| You might not need to bake it. Lots of the older consumer oriented stuff is fine. I recently transfered a bunch of family stuff from the fifties, and the tape was in great shape. It's mostly some of the high-performance tapes of the late seventies and early eighties that have problems. Lee Blaske |
