Thank you Gearslutz

Just wanted to say happy new year and thank you to everyone who's allowed me to pick their brains for nuggets of info. It's nice to see that people in the know are willing to take a moment to help others learn a bit about the amazing art of recording and to save making a mistake on yet another piece of cool gear with pretty blue lights and lots of buttons.

thanks,

Steve

I'll name names. It's the Prosound forum, some of the posters are grumpy wannabe ahole engineers who think they're hardcore analog guys who are pissed about Protools, so they insult everyone. There's just no need for it, oh but they're so cool and hip. Being able to throw out clever witty insults must make you a great engineer.

And then the digi site, whatever you do don't mention mixing on an analog console sounds better than in the box, they'll kill you over there. Mostly amateurs in heavy denial, but even a few pro's who don't like the truth thrown at them.
