| Hello gearslutz i am curious if anyone here has experience (or even hearsay) regarding the malcolm toft mta 90 trident style console, or the amek "big" series console. i've found a bit of basic info on each, but am curious as to how they sound, how intuitive the signal flow is, etc. pro or con. i am a fan of both earlier neve and trident consoles but am curious whether either of these stand up to their creators' previous work. thanks & happy new year. |

| From what i have read and heard from a few people in the UK they are VERY good. Basically a modern split console that is based on the original Series 80 tridents, but more modern componentry. Im not sure if they are transfromer coupled like the originals or not.. There is a pretty indepth review of the MTA 980 in the audiomdeia archives.. google it and it should pop up. THere is also a VERY nice 980 for sale on ebay right now and its a bit of a steal and looks the part as well. Cheers Wiggy
