I wound up buying this pedal this week after first buying a cheap clone. The clone didn't work correctly so I sent it back and immediately bought a real one. Glad I did. I played around with it for a little today and then recorded a quick 1.5 minute improv. I have ALOT of distortion pedals but I think this one will get a ton of use in the studio. Logic 9.1.8, DP 7.24, PT 10.3.2, Reaper 4x, Apogee Symphony, professional 4room studio great for songwriters and producers.
Pretty good pedal. A bit crispy. On its own 18 volt or 9 needs Eq from amp or an Eq pedal. Wanted to like the pedal on its own. Overall.. it's an ok overdrive pedal. You'd be better off with a good tube amp -guitar/amp.
Very good pedal ... what version did you get? Open it up and check inside ... should have a version # in there. I guess they're all a little different.

V4 don't get me wrong it's better than most pedals but it's got a treble end that needs some taming. I recommend it non the less
I've read of people liking versions for different reasons. I think I recall talk about v4 being a tad trebly. I have v3 and it gets used a lot. Good, underrated pedals.

Oh, I don't think they're underrated at all...there's gotta be close to a hundred thousand in circulation now
Personally, after owning v.1-3, I kept v.1 (didn't buy v.4, wasn't impressed at all)- It matches my style for boosting and I dig it as an extra channel when tweaked in LP mode (never really use HP mode BTW).
