Angels and Airwaves

Amazing album. I'm inspired. Buy it. If not, at least check out the songs "A Little's Enough" and "The Gift"...

i was looking so forward to this album only to be completely dissapointed. honestly "the gift" is the only song i refuse to listen to on the album. "a littles enough" would be my favorite. many of the melodies are great and there are parts where everything is building up and then the chorus just goes nowhere. "the adventure" is a good example of this. its not a bad album. just not quite what it could be. i do like most of the lyrics though.

To each his own I guess... I actually love how the arrangements take time to build. I love being musically blue-balled... I also came in with very low expectations, so that always helps...

Yeah, I was also pretty disappointed with this album. It kind of just showcases how Tom's voice really gets annoying without the other guy from Blink to break up the sections.

This album just sounded to be like what Blink would sound like if they tried to make all the their songs sound like "stay together for the kids". Not that that's a bad song, or that I didn't like that element of Blink's style, it just gets old when every song is that whiney, moaning love song type.

I do like the production on the album. Tom Lord-alge mixed it I believe. Nice sounds on the album.

"Yeah, I was also pretty disappointed with this album. It kind of just showcases how Tom's voice really gets annoying without the other guy from Blink to break up the sections." - my thoughts EXACTLY.

Also, I think Angels & Airwaves is a massive dumbing down of the creative, spiritual rock movement.

Tried to Allmusic the credits on this record....

Did Josh indeed play drums on this Stewert? I know Adam is playing with them but that sure dosen't sound like Adam on the record....

I'm REALLY digging the production/writing... still not a fan of his voice, but a pretty damn cool listen all around.

Nah. That was not a pleasant scene.

Tom had since that time, put a band together and restructured the entire production.

I think Josh's buddy, Critter, is a GS member. He can give you more details. I don't wanna cross any lines, ya know...

At lot of moments in the drumming do remind me of the "Josh Freese' fashion and feel.

I think the work is really great. It's a nice approach to a modern production. The arrangements aren't as linear as one would expect from this genre.

It's a cross-pollination of a lot of different styles and genres, yet I believe that it's very cohesive.

I really dig it.
