Roving Gearslutz reporter here Jules. I am posting live from the new Marquee club opening night party. The origional (which I had the pleasure of playing) was host to the Who the Stones and the Yardbirds etc closed down 6 years ago. Now Dave Stewart of UK band The Eurithmics / Traveling Wilberrys (very rich, from that band and as his producer) and a club owner I know have reopened a new Marquee Club in chic Islington. Celebs so far at the party. Gwen Stephany (No Doubt) Gavin Rosdale (Bush) Boy George... Free drinks and a wikid schmooseathon! Production leads to follow up in the morning... CD's handed to big wigs.... rock and F***king roll!
UK rock n sleeze band Primal Scream played.. They were very good.
I have my origional membership card somewhere, date 1975, my age then 15!
