Rhodes 73 score!!!

Yeah,

Just scored a near mint 73 in road case for a hundred bucks (Cdn - about $70 US) - I've missed my old one that had to stay back in Montreal when I left in '90. This is a great score - now my kid can have a keyboard to play on that is actually a keyboard, not a casio-like, crap sounding piece o shite. Alas, I would bring it to the studio, 'cept we already have both a 73, and a Wurly there already....

Good news for the home, tho

Love the Rhodes 73! Congrats!

I live in Sweden and they go for $1500-1700 here in the shops (if you can find one). Got mine for $350 and that's a great deal over here, so a hundred bucks is just silly.

Excellent! Have you found someone to work on it yet? I've got one of my Rhodes' in the shop now, and the other will go if he did a good job on this one.

No such luck: after a go through last night, only one note sticks out, tho I'll give it a better run through later. No specialist in this vicinity doing repair work, and an "outside" visit is pretty near out of the question. With a few already living in the studio, I'm happy to have this one for the house.

Well, since you already own a 'few', you've probably learned to do pretty good jackleg repairs yourself.
