Finally got a console

Yes, It's been a long time. Waiting really, for a console for sale in my price range. Lots to go take a look at, most of them were trashed...

So, finally a 24 channel Soundcraft 200 SR showed up on Craigslist. I drive over and take a look. Holy Crap. It's MINT ! with original cover, manual, even had the upgraded PSU (not the little generic one that i see on ebay)

Said his church bought it and never used it. wild...

To make it even better.. Guitar Center bought all my old gear that this console is replacing. At a price i thought was quite fair.

Man, the EQ on this thing is sutle and very nice. 4 band. The pres are warm and robust. Better than anything I had.

Can't wait to get a full band in to do live tracking.

I have the same board in mint condition. Its insane how much better it sounds than the Mackie it replaced! I don't want to plant the seed but.... if you think it sounds good now, just try recapping a few channel strips...

congrats on your purchase!!

They make better caps?

Do you have any other suggestions?

I've seen some of the star grounding threads. Did you do that ?

Thanks
