Exclamation Madonna using our speakers!!!!

First Lady Gaga, now Madonna!

I just got wind of this video of Madonna in the studio using MM27s. The clip is part of a Madonna interview that aired on the TV show 20/20. Apparently this is the first time Madonna has allowed cameras in the studio in over 30 years!

And here’s a link to the full interview.

Madonna interview with Cynthia McFadden for 20/20 [Full Interview]

I know many of you have worked directly with big artists. And maybe I shouldn’t get so stoked about these sorts of things. But I was just a kid living in a rusted mill town outside of Pittsbugh PA when Madonna emerged. My mother was struggling alone to raise five kids. We went to food banks and bought our cloths from Goodwill. So coming this far feels like a really big deal to me.

Cheers!
Thomas

Congrats Thomas! As a kid from the other side of PA who dreamed of big things (and was constantly reminded of the odds), I know the feeling. Enjoy your well-deserved success!

That's awesome! Not a huge fan of her music, but a huge fan of her choice of studio monitors....

Awesome!

Crazy how something like that can make you realize how far you've come!

As a proud owner of 2 sets off MM27's, I'm not surprised.

It's the first time in Lady Gaga's life that she did something before Madonna.

Congrats with the speakers!

Regards,
Frank

Never listen to opinions regarding tape, digital, analog, plug-ins, hardware, software, amp modelers, etc. For every 50 nobodies on Gearslutz that say a piece of gear doesn't sound good enough to cut it, I know at least one somebody who is cutting it in NYC with that piece of gear.

Regardless of who did what first, I’m deeply in love with them both.

Speaking of Lady Gaga, she gave us huge love on her Monster Ball DVD/Blu-ray that came out recently. In the actual concert video that aired on HBO, she was backstage standing in front of her MasterStack during the ending credits, singing one of her big hits A cappella. And if that was incredible enough, the DVD special features show some amazing backstage footage of her with the speakers. In the screen capture below she’s having a conversation with Liza Minnelli! I’ve already told my wife that I might leave her for Lady Gaga. She said she completely understands because she might leave me for Lady Gaga first.

Thanks all!
