Thanks SD, really appreciate it! I was not sure wether I wanted to do the volumecontrol because I never use it, but cleary other people do so I fixed that, you should be able to fix it in the videos now. Love that you can hide or display everything you want via Vimeo. It sounds better then Youtube also.
I hear what you say about the little pics that should be clickable too, busy with that, but that a frustrating piece of HTML-code that I should fix, but its hard, been on that for a while but I cant get it to work yet. But its on the list!
Thanks!
Sven

Thanks for looking into it! Great to hear. Going to check out the site now.
As for the clickable images, they are not a dealbreaker, they are just everywhere these days, and it felt counter-intuitive.
Anyway, great job, thanks for sharing all the music!

Our April guest Yuri Honing and his band Wired Paradise just won Hollands most prestigious jazzaward: The Boy Edgar award! We were already proud to have him on the show, but that just got a bit more! Check out Yuri and Wired Paradise here on Dutch National Television: Extra opname: Yuri Honing - Kaiser Soze - 23-1-2012 - YouTube
Also, sE Electronics became a friend of our show, how cool is that!!
Finally, this coming wednesday, february 1, we will publish our first complete session, this time with Amsterdam based band SEEKA! Make sure to watch it on walkinplaywalkout.com |

The complete SEEKA session is online now, next in line is Italian singer Fulvia di Domenico who will do her Italian/english jazzthing over at Walk in - Play - Walk out.
Quite a challenge with live monitoring and a percussionkit, Flute, acoustic guitar, doublebass and vocals but it turned out great.

Just got mail from our friends over at sE Electronics that they send us a replacement free of charge....
BTW, does anybody know how the Shure clipmics (for toms/floors etc) sound? I use Sennheiser E604 now but those are pretty big, though there clamp is pretty smart. Shure has more options but I dont know how they sound...

I'm just watching again SEEKA episode... and damn the energy those guys have... @ 13:40. Im bouncing on my chair from left to front to right and back again! LOVE IT! And it sounds frickin good! Great mix job men!
BTW when recording with video in mind.. you record @ 48Khz directly for sync up with the rushes? And is everything one shot recording on vid/music, or is there "vid overdub" ?

Thanks Mauce,
Everything is done live. We shoot with 4 camera's now: In the latest recording we had 1 cam on a dolly, 2 on tripods and a GoPro which does the black and white. The GoPro is just standing somewhere, the others are with cameramen. In the SEEKA episode we used a Canon 7D for the B/W shots BTW. Everything audio is recorded live in 48kHz. No dubs in audio or video, it really is one take.
I edit in Adobe Premiere, I sync up using the sound from one of the camera's which I later replace with the mix.
If you dig SEEKA you're gonna dig "the Whomp" also...different, but also energetic and rock/indie...Next episode with Fulvia is jazzy, Great Eyeballs is Smoothjazz.
Stay Tuned!

S | thnx for the tech details. Infact i'm doing it in the same way (but way less "pro" like you guys!). Use the closed film/mic for sync up the whole mix with the edit'd film image from finalcut.
Watching out for "the Whomp"!!!

Just published Session # 4, this time with alternative rockers "Antimal". Nice thing is that those guys are all performing musicians, working for others but now started their own thing, just for fun. This session is their first gig out of their rehearsal room: They started writing/rehearsing in the last days of December, recorded this session the 29th of January.
