Yeah - kids do wierd things to you. I was always one of those who wanted little or nothing to do with other people's babies. The few times I was handed a kid and told to hold them, I just kind of - held it out in front of me. I didn't really know what to do with a baby.

When the nurse handed me my first - she just fit. There wasn't any question or learning required.

Congrats - and keep close tabs on that kid - you won't believe how fast they grow up.

Better start saving up for that 1st birthday present.

Awww... too cute!

Look at him, sleeping like a little baby -

Wait, he is a little baby!

Congratulations to you and mom! May he grow strong and sure, and may he change his world for the better.

And as for the emissions - fluid management. Learn it, study it, master it. Fluid management is what seperates the men from the boys...

Congrats! Now you're going to have to keep the music turned down a bit. Might be time to get an amp sim!

Awesome looking baby. Suddenly makes you realize how little all this stuff matters. Good luck with the volume control. I have a 6 and 3 year old and still haven't found it on either of them. Also the emissions only get worse but at least they start thinking farts are funny, but then they start blowing them at you. (Happened 10 minutes ago as I was putting my 3 year old to bed)

Try rocking them to sleep with great music but take my advice. Coltrane's Giant Steps won't work. Don't try it. It will put him into fits of hyperactivity. Been there. Done that. Quite funny actually.

Congrats, and catch the sleep where you can. I usually do in between punches

THIS IS A SCAM DON"T BUY IN!!!!!

It is all about the conditioning.
I did this with my first kid and now anything wakes him.
With my second, I just stopped caring about it and he sleeps through it all.
I can practice on the trap in the next room and it does not wake him.

They will adapt to the enviroment.

Live life as you always have.
Anything less will cause resentment for you and weakness in your offspring.
Life is loud. Bring it on!

CONGRATS!!!!

Congradulations! Best advice would be...SLEEP WHEN YOU CAN.

My boy's just over 7 months now. Been through a lot, but the time seems to fly by for some reason. Must be the <4 hours of sleep each night for 7 months straight.

If you have any questions (if this is your first), please don't hesitate to PM me. I'm a Babyslut as well.

This is ABSOLUTELY TRUE - my experience was the same. Kid 1 wakes up if the cat farts at the other end of the house. Kid 2 slept through the shrieking bare-handed slow death of the cat for farting and waking up Kid 1.

Seriously though - they do adapt to their environment. Congrats! Our second one will be a month old in a few days. There is nothing finer in the world than being "Dad."

do you secretly yearn for a new baby you do not need?
do you convince yourseld that a baby you want is actually a baby you need?
do you contemplate the true value of "vintage" babies?

A friend is willing to trade his shiny new baby with female connectors for one with male connectors.

Has always been in a smoke-free room. Never toured or dropped.

PM me if interested.

You guys are a riot!

Thanks all.

I have heard about the cold air hitting the new baby, and how important it is to cover when changing. Hasn't happened yet, he is waiting for us to drop our guard.
