Homebirth Rocks!!!

Welcome to the world, Oliver Quinn! Born last night just past 6 PM EST (Canada).

8lbs, 8 oz. boy, healthy and happy, with mom doing great!

Props to our midwives, Simone and Karen. They were absolutely great throught the very long labour and birthing process...

here's a shot moments after birth.

Cigars are on me!

Big Congrats, Plugz! Yer kid looks great, I can tell already he's gonna be a star.

Homebirth does rock, we had our first at a freestanding birth center & our second at home. Both great experiences.

Hey congrats.

We are three strong over here with home births. Heck the second one was so damn impatient (30 min delivery ) I delivered the damn thing myself (but thats another story).

All three of my kids were delivered by a midwife named Karen. Was your Karen a 50 something, South African woman by any chance?

Just curious, congratulations on your new addition, cheers!

Rob

Cool Rob - nope, the Karen here is a bit younger and was the 2nd midwife (more the doula, with helping hands at the appropriate time!), with the primary, Simone taking the helm. My wife is a med student, but we both choose to do homebirth, and couldn't be happier!

joy all around!
