| Havin a blast A band I work with quite often is currently in recording their cuts for two forthcoming (and completely unrelated) tribute records: a Melvins tribute and a Lynrd Skynrd tribute. The band has the ability to put their own 'sonic signature' on a song which IMO is the most important element in performing another artist's song. They really have no interest in recording these songs in a manner that can be reproduced live, so all bets are off as far as studio trickery, layering, ear candy, etc. It's been pure fun so far and I love the way things are sounding. This is a welcome change from the last two projects I worked on  .Check out a quick clip of the Skynrd song here (still a work in progress). - jon
