Wood in the basement

I found this in the stujo basement. Ludwig piccolo. I'm guessing from the 90's. Yeah, it's wet down there. It looks like someone threw up on it. But, what the hell. I'm gonna set it up, and beat it with a stick. I'm kinda over the piccolo thing right now, but I may keep it around.

I'll ask my local drum expert, who I'm doing a film with at the moment, if he can tell the year. This guy took one look at my Black Beauty & nailed the year (1924) & version immediatly.

That would be cool, thanks.
I'm pretty sure the badge is from more recent years. (Monroe NC) The serial is: Wow, crusted over. Let me clean it off... OK: 3279273

My friend says eighties or early nineties, probably 6 ply, steel hoops, judging by the badge & the lugs. Probably not very resonant & kind of chirpy. How do you like it? I find it's good to have different flavors around, sometimes thiings you don't think are good sounding can be just the right thing in a certain song.

I haven't set it up yet. I'll know soon enough how it sounds. Should get at it Saturday.
