I'm officially in the Jingle business

Just got paid for my 3rd jingle...

The beauty is that I spend an hour on the demo and they accepted it as is (I had planned on adding more parts and real vocal talent after they accepted the demo)... I then put in 1 more hour to spin a few different versions and the next thing you know, my studio's hourly rate increased x5...

If I could do at least one a week I could quit polishing turds, and I'd be doing a lot more fishin'...

Anyways, you need a jingle, call me

If you're looking for a good laugh you can check it out here at the bottom of the page... it's called "Cabannas"... http://www.logcabinmusic.com/id3.html

Pearlman on vox and guitar amp (into Great River MP)... Bass through Little labs IBP DI into Portico...
all touched by Chandler LTD-2 on the way in... Touch of Sony eq here and there (in the box)...

L1 Maximizer for "mastering"

Congrats!

The best, though, is when you start doing national stuff, and singing on it!! I'm a singer and have been doing this for 4 years full time in LA. You get your voice on TV on a national spot and your making THOUSANDS of dollars in your mailbox in residuals. Of course, you get paid resids for playing an instrument, too, but it's your voice that brings the real payday. Oh, you'll have to join SAG at that point. That'll run you about $1400 initiation fee, but it will pay for itself and make sure that you get paid. AFTRA pays for the radio stuff. Another $1300 to join. Doesn't pay as much as TV, though.

Cojo... did it get stuck in your head? Sorry bout that...

darkwater... do you do your own productions, or are you mainly the vocal talent working with jingle houses, etc.? Would love to hear some of your work.
