Studio Apprentice Workshop

Hey guys! I got this on my email a few days a go, i think is a good idea...

Studio Apprentice Workshop To Be Held At Chalice Recording In LA

Los Angeles, CA (December 5, 2005)--The Studio Apprentice Workshop, a new series of "real-world" classes, is designed for interns and runners entering the world of recording. The workshops are designed to further the education of young and old alike with emphasis on signal flow, mic techniques, studio etiquette, and DAWs and how it all integrates in the studio environment. Stacey Dodds, technical operations manager for Chalice Recording in Los Angeles has designed the course to enable interns and runners to move up the chain in a faster, more efficient way.

The first workshop on signal flow, will be held at Chalice Recording on Sunday, December 11, in its 96 input SSL 9000J-equipped Studio A, and led by Robert Breen (Career Development & Industry Relations - Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology as well as President AES - Toronto Chapter). The focus will be on signal flow in consoles and DAWs. Solid State Logic will be on hand to lend support as the console signal flow portion of the course will be conducted using the industry standard SSL 9000J series console.

Interns & Runners are encouraged to attend, as the workshops are free to any graduates of any recording school.
