I'm going to try to post a similar thread in either "New Products" or "So Much Gear So Little Time." Annoyingly enough, I'll have to relink the files, but I'd rather get a little traffic to the topic. I also think it would be much more productive to talk about the construction and application - quantitative - rather than qualitatives like "these mics are the awesomest things that were ever awesome." Just a thought.

I've contacted Tony in regards to the forum rules about posting in the Hip Hop forum. Hopefully I'll get a response so I can understand what goes where. I'll also contact Jules in regards to where the best placement of this thread should go, and see if it's legit to link the thread from elsewhere.

Let's not talk about the mirror in a public forum. I know exactly where your rap is. I'm just in NY right now. Ah, it was the V67g. Ok. This is why I should be taking very thorough notes - or have Joe do it. Having an assistant is awesome

I am glad you put this thread back up. It was a mistake to remove it. Hopefully people will come back to involve themselves in it again.

I'm sorry guys, I did the web work on my laptop and it looked fine. (I too have vison issues) . I will change it shortly. I will also check it on other computers.

Thanks

We are currently finishing our uber-U87 inspired mic, the Pitbull. It will be multi pattern, feature an ADK TT capsule and an upgraded transformer.

We have also received our crystals in (cardiod marker) and will be getting our badge printed very soon!

Right now we have two in purple that are headed to a certain studio in Philly!

Peace

Since this thread has popped back into the world, I do have a clip of the modded mxl 2001 on rap vocals. I actually purchased that mic, having it re-modded with a top of the line Jensen transformer. I plan on putting it on everything I can think of just to see where it shines.

I am REALLY fooking forward to it!
So Jim,"Illacov" and the gang, look forward to some more cheese steaks!!
BTW..why did Tony B.move this thread?
We are talking about GEAR on Gearslutz and not some idiotic thread about how use an mpc for hip hop.
So Philly,Story and JJ Gents when is the R&B/POP Extravaganza coming? I have been waiting for this one. If you gents could use the AKITA, Choc Lab and the Pitbull on male and female singers that would be great. Our Mic locker is in need of some variety and I am seriously looking for something different.

I actually purchased a choc lab of my very own - the sound far outweighed the price point so I had to do it. I ended up selling my solo 610 to make it happen, but I feel it was worth it. Though I'll miss that 610 a little - even had NOS RCAs dropped in it. Next time I get into the studio with Bob I'll have his writing team test it out - they're all very good singers.

Hopefully it will be finished by the end of this weekend. Then it's off to my man Jeff at Peerless Mastering. I'm going to ask Noesis if I can put up the finished version of "Hit Song" as a Gearslutz giveaway.
