Bought my girlfriend a mini-netbook! EEE PC 1101HA

I'm somewhat of a gadget geek and love buying her stuff. I bought her a digital picture frame two months ago and a little mp3/4 player last month, but I digress..

I'm surprising her with a mini netbook tomorrow. She's still in (law) school and for some reason she doesn't have a computer of her own. It's not a workhorse but she's a very light computer user anyway (word, surfing the net etc).

I unboxed it yesterday to install a couple useful progs and to put some of our pictures on it as an added bonus. It's a fun little thing. The screen might be too small for typing for hours on end (but that's directly after looking at a 22" screen so it might not be a fair judgement) but it's portable enough for her to just plop it in her bag with her books.

I can't wait to see her reaction!!

I have the HP version of that and it's awesome to travel with. My wife lugs around her 15" MacBook Pro to email and internet surf, I barely even notice mine, it's lighter than some books I own!
I bet she'll love it.

I'm on it right now and the screen really isn't that small.. Your eyes just have to adjust but it seems to be fine (I'm sitting in bed right now about to go to sleep. It's very light and doesn't get too hot).

I'll rapport back with her reaction right after she gets it!

How about you buy your wife one.
