Here's the one I created.

I'm not really confortable with all the possibility, but at least there is music on it.

Myspace is cool. I have almost a client off it...

Only issue that I have is that for every one cool person there are 500 freeks.

I've never gotten a client off of it, cause mine is my bands, but I've gotten alot of shows. The band I was touring with last year did alot of promo on Myspace. We got alot of, uh, perks from alot of myspace girls

I feel like I'm a little bit late getting to the myspace party, but I have just set one up and I'm beginning to sort out info/tracks to put up.

I'm still not fully up to speed on HTML designing and, also, how to upload tracks... any help is appreciated, but I'm going to ask about this specifically in a new thread.

Anyway, I'm here;
http://www.myspace.com/policedog

...and I'm just about to a add a few of the links already posted, if that's ok(!).

Here's mine. Been online for a month and already 4700 plays, around 150 a day so far. A good start on the fanbase / street team too.

Pretty neat, pretty neat.

Jules - any luck we can get you to smile in a PIC - we already know your tough!

Or is it because you don't have any teeth!

It's OK we love you anyways!

This would be fantastic if the production did the music full justice. Need a producer?
Guitars (tele?) and bass are fantastic - the drums just weaken it a bit.
Awesome music though.

Thanks bro!

I just bought a whole mess of stuff with the intention of beefing up the drums a bit and we're going to start tracking again in a week or 2.

OTOH a trip to Vancouver *would* be nice...

could someone elaborate on what myspace is all about? i clicked on some of the links, but i don't quite "get it".

do you up-load some songs and then people listen to them?
is there a fee for bandwidth use?
is it hard to use?

it actually seems kind of "social" beyond just showing some tracks to people. the original poster had all these responses of girls putting there pictures up on his site.

at some point i'd like to start shopping my hip-hop beats out to people. eventually i'd like to build my own website, but for now, it would be cool to be able to upload about 5 beats for people to listen to.

just trying to figure out this myspace thing...thanks for any insights

what Myspace is about for me, is the ability to network and meet new musicians.

40 million signed up users just about says it all. For a guy like me, with a large catalogue of old and new songs, it's a great place to park my music. Our band Art in America just about fell off the map, since 1984. And folks who dug our 1st and only release have found our band again. That means the world to me. I write so much music. Great to have it heard again.

No fee. You build your own page using their templates, which can be used or turned off, or tweaked. Make sure you sign up on the "band" section and not as a personal user.

My daughters entire high school is on this thing.... HUGE marketing tool.

one more thing Generic... Myspace has bandwith problems.. constantly, as one might imagine with so many users... and Tom takes weekends off, so it's always weekends that their servers act up.. hopefully Murdoch's people solve this soon.

I say this because for today and yesterday, they've been having loading problems with their mp3 player..

I have a friend who's all worked up over this dude that has a show on cable about building motorcycles, I took his picture and put my head on it, so Im all skinny, covered in sleeve tattos and sitting on a harley, the thing is obviously fake. I swear it wasnt up for half an hour and I got like 20 emails from girls telling me how hot I was, it was hilarious, now Im looking at the atkins diet and getting some ink.........
