Thumbs up $1,000 Grants to do something Awesome

I'm a trustee with the Awesome Foundation. We are giving away $1,000/month to people that wish to do something awesome. There's no catch. This isn't spam, I've been on GS for several years now. We simply want to make more awesome stuff happen in the world.

All fields are encouraged to apply, and we don't have any specific thing in mind. Just knowing this board however I'll say that if you try to write a grant for a new microphone for your commercial studio, then that probably isn't going to get accepted... just saying

Thanks so much! We'd love to have more people from GS apply.

Applied!

I want to use a real guitar in Guitar Hero games to help kids bridge the gap between playing video games and making music...

I applied for a similar grant at my school last year, but my project wasn't selected... I got to see the reviewer notes, and they were overwhelmingly positive, so I'm not sure what happened!

I submitted a grant for orphanages to get the surplus "strat packs" that go for $90 when college kids go back home for the summer. My room mate has a MSW Masters in Social work and has agreed to carry this out on an official capacity and interact with the orphanage and is qualified to work such foundations as Orphanages and foster homes. Kthanks. (I can talk up a real storm at guitar center and I can get them to do at cost on strat packs) This was something I wanted so bad growing up and never had the money.
