Bricasti in New Manufacturing Alliance

With a long term Bricasti manufacturing agreement in hand, a long time friend of Bricasti has created a craftsman style facility, in Massachusetts, dedicated to making high end digital and analog audio products of the highest possible quality.

In a time of manufacturing upheaval, and the movement of labor to low wage countries, this is a story of a two year mission to buy up choice high end manufacturing tools from offshoring companies throughout North America, and create a new craftsman style cottage industry in New England.

Bricasti is proud to support our friend’s effort by granting his new company the exclusive manufacturing rights in a long term agreement to both our existing and future products.

Like a studio build out thread (only a bit more slowly), I will be posting pictures and descriptions of the facility build out, and the pilot manufacturing runs over the next months. Interviews with the key members of this alliance are both uplifting and of interest to others looking to reestablish a top spec high wage manufacturing base from the grass roots up.

Stay tuned.

We are developing a very high performance stereo DAC. I can say that it is a really over the top piece of engineering, but it is too early to predict a schedule.

REALLY looking forward to that. Hopefully won't be ridiculously expensive per channel.
Are you aiming it towards mastering rooms or studios in general? Thanks.

Possibly this could be the right thread for my question:

How much do the knobs on the M7 protrude from the face plate?

Will it fit in a SKB X rack case? Or rather will it fit when the front of the case is mounted. I'm a little worried that the knobs simply protrude to much.

Hello Peter,

The measurement from the back of the rack ears (the surface that touches the rack rails when installed) to the furthest protrusion is 3.2cm.

Hope it fits!

Casey nice work! This is the type of thing that can save our economy. Without trying to get too heavy here, there are consequences to all of our actions! I applaud this type of business practice. Makes me very glad I suggested your box to a friend who is a 'verb nut. He actually bought one. Now there is a bricasti in Wisconsin that I can use!

Peace

Anyone I know Lance?

Casey this is great and Lance I agree with you except with the possible exception that if it were built in china I might be able to afford one! Oh well I guess I can take the hit for the greater good of the US Economy!

Surprisingly, it is less expensive to build the M7 in New England. Just as important, the way we have set up our distribution, a fair percentage of the profit from every M7 sale remains in the country that it was purchased in.

Our overall model is just as much a world economy model as it is an american one.

I guess this would be a good time to remind folks to buy your M7 locally. It always works out best for everyone, and I promise you we do everything possible to keep the M7 price at the same level world wide.

Kudos to you guys, especially with the current state of the economy. I have a buddy in Claremont, New Hampshire building custom guitars and it does take some stomach, considering the investment.

Looking forward to an M7 one day... I was sold when I heard it at the last AES...
