My girl is better than yours!!!

Ok I got a girl that I have to brag about ...can yours top mine?

I have the most supportive AND beautiul girl....

She never complains that I tour with my band - in fact i've told her the night before "baby, im leaving for a month" and she replies "I'll miss you"

She never ever calls to gripe about anything - she is perfectly happy with a 30 second phone call every 3 days or so

She has come to every gig that I have ever had - in fact recently was our 3 year anniversary ...and she happily came to my gig that night


if I have to be in the studio late...she will find something else to do!

She will drive anywhere to pick up gear i buy off craigslist ...or rent and return smole machines or deliver hard drives to people in the middle of the night

she does paperwork...burns me hundreds of cd's - puts them in packages - cleans my house and does my dishes and cooks or brings me food

she has helped me move 2 times

she is an english professional, and proofs and edits anything i need her to


we go on vacations together...and have the best time - shes up for anything - we are best friends! - she even comes a long if i want to hang out in alleys or under 6th street bridge and drink 40's with my hoodlum friends



the only thing she ever complains about is that i WASTE MY TIME on these NERDY forums - so as a result - i let her post girly things with my user name "four weddings and a funeral" thread for example

im sure there is more too that im not thinking of at the moment



so can you beat that!!!!!!!

Yes, I don't know if I can top that, but I'm going to try...

My wife is incredible. I spend way too much money on gear, and yet she is still happy with me and extremely supportive. I never have to "consult" with her before making a purchase, because her first concern is that I become successful doing something that makes me happy.

One of the greatest things she ever said to me was so profound that I still smile about it whenever I think about it. It was in the parking lot of a pawn shop. She was waiting in the car for me while I ran in real quick to see if they had anything good (they usually don't). On this particular occasion they had a compete set of really nice drum mics. I got a great deal on them too. Twenty minutes later I went back out to the car with a bag in my hand. My wife asked teasingly with a phony frown "What did you do???". I told her about the deal I got, and she said "Yup, you can never have too many mics!" Now how's THAT for a great girl?

Numerous times in the past I have told my wife about an expensive gear purchase I had made and how we'll be eating Top Ramen for awhile, to which she always responds "Does what you bought make you happy?" I tell her yes, and she tells me that's all she cares about.

Pretty cool, eh?

I wouldn't think mine could beat that... but she comes close!.

She is a singer so there lies support for gearslutism.

She does anything I ask her to do and she never complains.

My family loves her.

She would visit me when I'm working and bring me food as for some reason she always knows when I'm really hungry.

She would sit in the control room reading her book while I slam my head into the mixer due to glitches in Nuendo. She'd see that and then smile and say "It'll be okay" and she been right every time.

She actually likes going with me to GC to find stuff and wouldn't mind sitting on a piano bench for a couple of hours while I demo stuff.

She cleans, cooks, and rarely complains.

Actually the only complaint I have had from her is that she worries that I spend hours upon hours in front of a screen and not exercising enough... but she really has a point.
