"ZenPro Audio" in the making:

EDIT: ZenPro Audio site is launched and running!!! - War

Wanted to officially announce that I have moved on from my old company, Front End Audio, which I was a 50% partner in for over 5 years. I will miss the good people at FEA, however in order to better serve my customers and stick with an offering that I think makes the most sense for studio owners...well lets just say that ZenPro Audio makes me very excited.

I'm working very hard at bringing you a focused and informative site. ZenPro will be a good thing for me, and for you. It will take me a little time to get it going, but it's coming along very nicely. I am working on unique offerings, will continue to import Safe Sound Audio in North America, as well as other products not sold in the chain and larger stores.

Thanks for all the support I've had from you all, and I hope I can continue to earn your support in the future with ZenPro Audio.

Thanks Jules! I am gettin' jiggy with, as Ali G would put it, the "techmology" as far as setting up the business etc. Not really my favorite part of the operation, but an amazing opportunity to streamline the processes to allow me more time with...GEAR.

As always I'm trying to bring more unique info and products to slutz around the world.

Can't really put my finger on it, War, but there's just something about the name of your new operation that makes me want to buy gear from you for the rest of my life...

hey war

a couple of years ago i took quite a bit of your time over a deal i could not go through with, but it was great to communicate with you. it has taken some time and finally i just had my entire location recording ordered from front end audio. I had addressed my mail to you but was replied to by Shane...

our chance to do business continues to wait

anyhow, all the very best with your new venture.

jai shankar.

Likewise; just had a great experience with my first order from War/ZenPro (3 pack of M179's, would you believe it?!)
I am mad to find out you got free coffee too, though - I thought I was special!

It's a great feeling for sure, being able to take care of people the way I want with the products I want.

The site was actually launched March 8th, but I've been solo for a year in just a few days now...!!!

Two things you really need on your site. Nice navigation by product per page like how Sweetwater has it set up. Their website is pretty much THE standard by the way. Also, there should be sound samples next to every product so you can listen and video as well, just like you guys had going with Tuesday Testers and your stuff for FEA on youtube.

MC Blind, I have mini product reviews on most of the more meaningful product pages on my site (with more coming I just haven't written yet). If you add up how many of them I have written for the ZenPro site it is weeks worth of writing (trust me...every key stroke is mine!). I kind of write them in a very generally descriptive way without any fluff so you can discern major traits of gear quickly.

The reviews are here:

Pro Audio Gear Reviews - ZenPro Audio: Warren Dent

I try to be more than a guy who just says everything sounds "warm" or "awesome".

I will get to other forms of information sharing for sure in the future, but I have to say that those reviews seem to help people a lot more and you can read them quietly to yourself without having to watch a 3 to 5 minute video to get roughly the same info written out on my pages.

Concerning how the products are searchable on my site, hit me up privately with an example of how I can improve and I would love to examine if it can be done within the confines of my site's template.

One of the goals of ZenPro was to have only meaningful products for the majority of the studio gear buying public, and not a bunch of clutter. I have 10% of the products listed that many competitors have but I have been told it seems to be better that way as things are easy to find and every corner you turn there is something useful there no matter the price range! It's mainly live sound and excessive listings that have been chopped, not selection of great and boutique gear...!

I am always open to criticism and appreciate your input.

I do have to add that Sweetwater employs many people to do what they do, everything you see on my site was done by me alone except for the majority of the picture processing which was done by a dear friend.

War

I think Sweetwater is a great company by the way, that was not a knock on them.

Yea, I think your site is good for not having the resources of a huge corporation. You seem like you are a good guy and have good customer service and audio/product knowledge, I really want you to do well! I think having audio samples and your youtube reveiws are really valuable on top of your nice text reviews that you already include of the product.

Good luck and I wish you continued success!

thanks for being here for us, warren!
it's the guys like you, ethan, glenn, frank, fletcher, adam, tony, lindell, and all of the other guys from the retailers that are actually on this site that respond and care about what we think that makes us repeat business.
i know that alan moon is on here, too. i feel that he is trying in stride to take up your mantle over at FEA, but the way that you approach everything puts you a cut above.
congratz and good luck!
it's always a pleasure seeing you post and reading your responses.
