Nashville?

I'm moving to Nashville in June and I'm looking to meet some people and start to get to know the scene. I'm a producer/ songwriter/ guitarist w/ my own PT HD/ pro outboard gear/ etc.. My good friend Jason Lehning has been real encouraging about the move. I'm wondering what some of the Nashville GearSlutz feel about making music in "Music City".

Which scene? There are a whole bunch of them. There's a jazz scene, a songwriters scene, a christian music scene, a studio scene, a live scene, a road musician's scene, a rock scene (kinda...) an alt scene, a blues scene, an indie rock scene, an americana scene....

Thanks Dave, I'm new to these boards...I mostly work with singer/songwiters as well as producing and writing for & with rock & pop artists. I also have done a lot of music for commercials too. Recently projects include Nightbird by Erasure and there's an acoustic record of theirs coming out later this year too...I'm mostly interested working with singers and band with great songs!..
