glad I purchased from ADK pro audio !

I read on here, as well as experience first hand, companies that offer limited, if any knowledgable tech support. This is a case where I would like to give accolades to ADK pro audio.

A couple of weeks back, I decided to upgrade my computer monitor to a 24" model. I went through 5 different models, and ALL of them were making a buzzing/ground noise. Now, others on here stated that they were using 24's with no such noise. After discussing this with ADK, they decided to send me another video card just to see if that would help. They paid for the shipping to me, I agreed to ship the original back at my expense.

So, after installing the new card, and it NOT making a difference as far as the 24" lcd noise goes, I decided to try the dual monitor route. I settled on two 22" models, and as long as I keep the brightness a 100%, they are quiet. Here's where it got interesting(and VERY frustrating). As I went back to some older projects I had been working on, I discovered that when I would launch a plug in, or eq, etc, they were all "ghosting" to the point of not being able to see what was going on.

After many hours of trouble shooting, I determined it for sure had something to do with the dual monitors, and the plug in "drumagog". So I then spoke with drumagog about the issue several times over the next few days, and while he was very concerned and tried to help, we could not figure it out. It looked like if I wanted to use multiple gog's at a time, I would have to disable the second monitor, and guess what, I hate work arounds!

So, finally Monday came, and I called ADK back after I got home from work(thank goodness they're open until 7:00 eastern)so I could be in front of my computer. literally 10 minutes later, the problem was resolved. Chris had me change a setting that allocated ram, and just like that, problem solved!

Now, since I am NOT a computer tech, I might have never figured this out, or had to pay another tech to figure it out for me. So, this is why I'm VERY glad I purchased from ADK pro audio computers. Not only has my pc performed wonderfully, the ability to call and speak with curteous, knowlegable people makes the purchase(close to 2 years ago) WELL worth it to me.

Thanks again to all the guys at ADK pro audio!

Marc

Cool!

I've never bought a machine from ADK, but I've definitely been impressed by Scott's knowledge and helpfulness in these and other forums. And the times I've browsed his site and 'built' various computers using the site's interface, I've been pretty impressed.
