Front End Audio: thanks, Warren!

Greetings.

I'm currently on a mission to locate an Alesis HD24XR. I called Warren at Front End; he's always taken great care of me on my usual small orders. He didn't have one in stock, but asked if he could call me back in a few. He did, and in the meantime, had phoned Alesis to find out the ship dates, as well as checked the websites of other dealers and even did an ebay search for me. Not many dealers would be that helpful; clearly Warren's priority is the customer, not his monthly bottom line.

Warren, to you and Front End, my sincerest thank you.

Kind regards,
-0.9

Bought some interface cards from Warren year or so back. Spoke to him on the phone, great guy. With international shipping had them in 12 days.
If only some UK dealers were this good.....but that's another thread

Omicron_9, you're welcome! I wish I could have helped and hope you get what you need within the stated time frame. I hate calling somebody back with just bad news and no alternative, I know what it's like to be out there shopping for stuff.

Thanks to everybody here for their support.

Concerning Tuesday Testers, I've been very busy but with nothing to post for a while though. Compressors, compressors, compressors!

It will be huge.

Thanks, Warren; I enjoyed speaking with you, and certainly did appreciate the callback.

If anyone out there in gearslutzland knows of an HD24XR for sale.... for the love of Twinkies, please do let me know. I'll make sure War names his next child after you.

Kind regards,

Cute family, they all look happy. Warren looks a little mischievous though.

Warren went out of his way for me when I was visiting the states for a few weeks. I don't know how he did it, but he got me a pair of RED Type B's + R8's + R6 + R7 right before they announced the move back to Blue and it was impossible to find stock anywhere. Plus, he recommended me the AEA R84 which I LOOOVE on electric guitars, upright bass and as a mono room mic (so far..). That purchase transformed my sound.

Thanks again!

And what a beautiful family!

cheers

Hell yeah, he'll invade your ass if you don't!

Seriously though, Warren is definitely one of the good guys. I got an Omnirax desk through him a while back, and the first one showed up with severe damage. I didn't know what to do so I e-mailed him and let him know. Less than 2 hours later I had Omnirax calling me to make sure everything was okay, and a message on my mobile and in the inbox from Warren to double-check that I was getting the help I needed.

Some vendors offer service like that, but most don't. You've got to celebrate it when they don, and Warren definitely deserves it.

All those online listening tests provided by Warren & Co convinced me to replace a prominant name on my shortlist to Warrens place.

I'm an easy customer anyway, but there's no reason to go with anyone who cares less.

But what's behind the brick wall... a brickwall limiter? No. too obvious...

Despite being referred to Warren by Glenn at GIK, I still gave Warren a call against my better judgement... and he was friendly and helpful even though I was just in an early research phase on some gear....

(ps the Glenn reference is a joke... look up Glenn and Warren's history here on GS for some background... keyword "remote" might help you :)

I haven't dealt with War, but I do appreciate his input. In fact, I think he's the only dealer that I've seen around here that recommends gear that he doesn't carry.
