Mercenary ROCKS !!

Just a quick shout out to Adam and Fletcher at Mercenary Audio.

I needed some schematics for my yamaha pm2000 console.....emailed them, knowing they have the same desk in their studio at mercenary.

I had them within 24 hours of initially contacting them. Fletcher asked me to call the following business day....I spoke with Adam...he was super helpfull....and i had them in my email..within 35 minutes.

I have purchased stuff from Mercenary in the past, and have always had great service...but its been awhile since i gave them some $$$

Fletcher has been VERY helpful to me before I purchased my pm2k, and now that I have it up and running. So far its one of the best purchases I have made for my rig.

This kind of stuff is "above and beyond" the duties of a retailer...more like fellow record- making dudes helping others out !!

Just felt like i wanted to publicly thank them for the help.

So....THANKS GUYS !!!

all the best,

Damn!
I just ordered the service manual for my PM2k from Yamaha.
O'well, it will be good to have a hard copy.
I'm glad to hear that there are still some helpful, kind folks out there

I can imagine one reason why - if you sold her people might try to invoke Mercenary's famous return policy
should she... er.... spring a leak...

That is, unless she falls under the 'SOFTWARE' category.

Not a Mercenary customer yet but they will be when I buy my 3124MB+. We run our company (small internet software, dozen employees, 12 years in business) the same way - service is job #1, and we try to have a sense of humor... I see that in Mercenary - hell, have you seen their SWAG:

Mercenary Audio - Cool Audio Recording Tee Shirts, Coffee Mugs and More ("We're Not Happy 'Till Your're Not Happy" Tee Shirt, "It Ain't Rocket Surgery" Tee Shirt, "Four Food Groups of Recording" Tee Shirt, "My Daddy Will Fix it in the Mix" Kids Tee S

Same here. The cookies that came with my Gefells were timely since I had to ask my family to skip a few meals to pay for the mics.

Those cookies were awesome...Thin Mints, I believe, with my Rumor. Sean Eldon has been the man in answering my questions while I have been putting my studio together.

We are pleased with our purchases from them as well. In fact as soon as we can we hope to purchase a pair of Coles 4040's from Mercenary. The Coles are #1 on our wish list. Have'nt used their return policy but I am sure its real.

They do not sell all the good stuff but a large part of it. We would probably have bought our scheops and DPA's from them but they do not sell these. Although, the Gefell omni small condensor is on our wish list too and thay sell them.

The Mercenary's are cool

Bought enough from them over the years, nothing but good vibes/service, etc.

Also very helpful with any kind of tech question (like LO1166 transformer questions, etc.).

They run a no BS shop and are professional, even if their forum presence seems to suggest otherwise. I'd rather get the straight talk w/o the BS, than have things be censored. To me that is professional.

I'm sure they're not perfect, but I certainly think they are top guns.

I first heard that in about '94 (ish... ±3db) when a friend who was working with Emmy Lou was on "Lilith Fair"... I just thought he was tired and made a [rather amusing] mistake.

We nicked "we're not happy 'til you're not happy' from Tim Gilles / "Big Blue Meenie" [they had a shirt that said that on the back]. We were just audited for sales/use tax... when the shirt was mentioned to the auditor he smiled and said "that's our motto" [I thought it was probably more appropriate for their business than ours].

Glad to hear y'all have had a pleasant experience... we try not to screw up to often... but sometimes shit happens... way of the world I suppose.

Peace.
