| Lives for gear | the best $700 i EVER SPENT!! Thanks Tritone Digital!!! i got ALL the Tritone stuff,.. i demo'ed all of it,... for the first time in my life i opened all the plugs and after about an hour i impulsively went to the site and gave em' my debit card number. i went back revisitted a few mixes i did with them (commcercial release, sorry, or i'd post examples) and they livened up my stuff IMMENSELY then i started a new mix for a band i just booked,.. rather than using my go to liquid mix plugs and sonalksis i used all Tritone and i was just blown away with the results when i got it to my car and home stereo. i still won't be selling my sonalksis or liquid mix stuff,.. just becase i'm a junky for plugs but i have a feeling Tritone has really changed my life aready. if you've never tried the stuff,..GO<>>NOW

| What Tritone plugs made this big difference to ur mixes? In what way? |

| Lives for gear | lol, i always had a problem getting great ITB mixes until now. i got them all,...and i love them all,... but m favorites,.. colortone pro: my end all be all "analog modeller" no need for vintage wrmer or tapehead in my opinion now,..convolution technology is great. valvetone: amazing, simple, but intuitive,... it works great with another EQ, and it has amazing compression schemes,..very simple classictone: api punch, great for snares,...i love it, mixed with the valvetone for saturation. hydratone is also great for some EQ/saturation that's the key with these plugs,...if i have decently recorded songs,..the tritone stuff just allows me to saturate each track and maintain quality. go to their website,...and read about each plug, they are definitely my best purchase yet. if notihng else,...buy the colortone and valvetone (my favorites)

| my favorite is angeltone which is a convolution eq for mastering eq's like maselec sontec millienium and some other eq's so your not the only one who foud some great plugs..besides my waves studio classics rx noise reduction and tritone plugs are the only plugs i have kept everything else discarded and i can add my own library of impulses ive taken of hardware gear...so its all win win...so when i mix itb from now on i use tritone |

| I can understand you excitement ! Tritone plugins, and especially valvetone and colortone can do wonders getting rid of 'digititus'. I use Valvetone on almost every project. But if you are on PC you definately should check out Nebula by Acustica audio. There is a free version but I recommend the commercial one. It's below 100 USD I believe and you get tons of sampled gear like reverbs, EQ's, Preamps, tapes, etc.. Recently there have been program of API EQ, Neve EQ that are scaringly close to the hardware. Better then Waves emulations for sure and free ! look at Home :: nebula-programs.com for more info. Good luck ! |

i might have to check it out some more. the only problem with Tritone thus far is: it's a CPU frekaing HOG. i choked m macbook pro on a session the other night, i had a large aount of tritone plugs,...but usualy i run much bigger sessions,..so i'm going to have to be careful with my use of tritone.

| I demo'd Hydratone like a year ago and loved it. I never bought it though. I think I'm going to have to revisit it. |

| Hey Guys, For those running PT and the Tritone plugs, which version of PT are you running and are there any issues with the pluggo engine? For some reason, that scares the buhjeezus outta me ![]() |

i've had no troubles at all,..seems to work 100freaking% the tritone stuff eats CPU, but there's no real issues in PTLE 7.3 my friend runs 7.4 with Tritone his work fine as well. it's better than a wrapped plugin

| Hydratone is amazing. The closest emulation of analog gear I've heard (the Fire knob is fantastic). They should however ditch the graph (it's not really accurate imo and only distracting) and start thinking about losing Pluggo.

| Steinberg just recentlly released their code to the developers, be patient, it is worth the wait. I will finally go to Cubase 4 from SX when my plugins all work in it!!! ![]()

| I'm afraid to buy them because of the whole pluggo runtime aspect. I've tried their freebies and find them running thru that pluggo shell pretty sketch. |

| They're worth it. No other plugins induce this kind of analog groove. It's spot on.

I went into buying Tritone with ignorance on the pluggo aspect, so it was completely unnoticeable to me. Even now that i know the "complaints" about pluggo it still works unbeknownst to me. :)

| Yeah the pluggo thing is overlookable, but I'd still prefer just non-Pluggo plugins. But it's not an issue really. I'm glad we share thoughts. What's your favorite one? The Valvetone? Mine is the Hydratone. I find myself turning that fire knob to 8 or 9 (or even 10) on virtually any track, from synth to vocals.

I usually dont like the "simple" plugs, but valvetone is incredible to me. and classictone (api) is great for my snares, great for punch. other than that i find myself using colortone a ton,...in place of like,..vintage warmer or reel tape. mcdsp and tritone are a great combination.

| From what i read a long time ago, Tritone uses pluggo because allows them to program the plugins and have realtime feed-back, being possible to fine tune the algorithm to sound the way they want without the tradictional program-compile-check-reprogram-recompile-check. Dont know how that really works but maybe someone from Tritone could explain it better. |
