| Lives for gear | I remember a rather lengthy thread from a couple years ago dedicated to audio and musician jokes. Check it out, there's some good stuff.

| Could anyone find the old thread? If not, this is still a great thing to have around, thanks... A bequeathal from a one-man-band who called himself The Matt Kurz One. So I was on tour for a while, and I missed my grain farmer neighbor. I made it a point to see him when I got back home, and I saw his farm was up for sale. I asked him about it, and he told me he was dropping out of the business to join a punk rock band. So I say, "Grain Farmer Neighbor, why are you quitting farming to join a punk rock band?" "Because I am SICK of Haulin' Oats."

| How many lead singers does it take to change a light bulb? One, he holds it up and the world revolves around him. How many A&R guys does it take to change a light bulb. Two, one to change it and one to tell the artist to change it again in three days.

| Not sure if this one has been posted here before... Dear Abby... I think my wife is cheating on me. I am a working musician and, as you would expect, travel a lot. I have been noticing strange things when I get home. Her mobile phone rings and she steps outside to answer it or says quietly "I'll call you back later". When I ask her who called she gets evasive. Sometimes she goes out with friends and comes home late. A buddy of mine plays guitar in a band and he told me that my wife and some guy have been to his gigs. He wanted to borrow my guitar amp so hat's when I got the idea to find out for myself what was really happening. I said "sure, you can use my amp but I want to hide behind it at the gig and see if my wife comes in and who she comes in with". He agreed. At the gig I slipped behind my Marshall JCM800 half stack to get a good view. I could feel the heat coming off the back of the amp. It was at that moment, crouching down behind the amp and watching the entrance to the club, that I noticed that one of the tubes was not glowing as bright as the other 3. Is it possible my tubes are mismatched and is this something I can fix myself or do need to take it to a technician? Thanks Very Concerned.
