Just signed the papers for our house in LA

So, this pretty much makes our move to LA official.

Looks great, I really like the surrounding trees in the area. Ya know if you pulled that bar b q out you could probably fit a 16 channel mixer by the pool.
Well done.

Congratulations. I'm just a few days away from completing on buying a house back in the UK (which has a nice double garage - I feel a construction photo thread coming on) after a horribly stressful few weeks in the closing stages. Hope yours was easier going than mine. Nice pad btw.

Well, the whole thng was pretty stressfull. Considering I had to get a mortgage with a credit rating of Zero, because we just moved to the US.

Way more opprtunities down here.
Better money.
Cheaper cost of living.
And , to my surprise, I love it down here. I actually feel safer down here than I did in Vancouver.
Vancouver has gotten really bad crime wise in the last few years. Gangs etc.

And the weather rocks. :)

Well the weather certainly rocks , I just got back from LA last week.

That is too bad about the Vancouver crime rate.......... I am there on Thursday

Are you talking more than just W Hastings ?

I find it VERY interesting that you feel safer there. LA always kind of creeps me out (so native LA'ers). The police there are brutal, very heavy handed. Anyways, I don't mean to bum you out, I wish you success and happiness in your new home, cheers!!

No. I'm talking drive-bys and home invasions in kits.
And you wanna talk brutality. The Vancouver police are pretty nasty.

Real Nice!

I'll be over at the Sportsman's Lodge until you send me a BBQ invite.
I'm glad you didn't succumb to the madness in HWood or other hood in the smog bowl.

Nice. That's right where I live. There are some great hikes in the hills around there. The one on Dixie Canyon is cool. Are you going to have a recording studio there? Have fun.

If the money's good. :)
Actually, it will be easier getting to Santa Monica, as I can just go up Coldwater to Mulholland, and down to Santa Monica that way.

Beverly Glen will actually be quicker and more direct if you want to take the canyon roads...

I'm just over on Valleyheart. We should meet for a coffee at Beehive sometime.

Seems like a lot of L.A. slutz are in the Valley. We should have a Gearslutz breakfast. Coffee, Pancakes and Gear talk, a great way to start the morning.

Have you ever been to Vivian's on Ventura and Vineland? It's a great breakfast place and not as greasy as Twain's.
