The smell of gear

.....I just love the smell of my old mk1 fender rhodes, it's been sitting in my living room for a few weeks and you can smell it when you walk in !!! like an old smokey, woody smell.

plus I've got a newish fender bassman ltd reissue and it smells great.....wood, varnish, glue or something........

is it just fender equipment that smells good ?

is it just analog gear that smells good ?

could sniffing equipment become habit forming ?

do I need professional help ?

My Fender Bassman cabinet smells like old beer, sweat and mud. Does that count as well?

LOL! Yeah, Fender gear does seem to have it's own scent. Maybe they'll make a line of candles to go along with their amps
I always sniff rubber coated cables included with new gear. Some of those cables have a "fresh cable" scent that reminds me of a toy I had when I was a kid.
