SSL vs AMS-Neve vs API console shootout from 2024!!!

Yo Which console will be better in 2024!!!

The Neve has plutonium transformers on the channel pres, but the SSL has hovering faders that don't actually control anything, and the API has their new Brain Automation Interface.

Can we please have a 50+ response thread discussing this...

I for one want to go API but I am going to be safe and see if they get the bugs in my brain's BAI drivers all sorted out.. and plus with all these great molecular summing boxes out now, I just don't know what to do...

The only bummer with this desk is no meter bridge (?!?) for one billion dollars it should have a retinal implanted meter bridge, c'mon guys get with it for next year...

Crack? Meth? Or just really good pot? You decide.

In 17 years I dont think we'll even have the luxury to think about those things considering what our baby boomers friends are leaving us as heritage

Well that is interesting as I have just finished our strategy document for the next 25 years.

I think you will all be pleasantly surprised in about 2018.

Also we are looking to install the first Triviality XL V4 in the first studio on Mars in 2020.

Actually in the future Digidesign will decide to switch to the frozen waffle business.

Thumbs up Frozen Waffles

yes, but in order to eat the waffles you will have to buy a special microwave that costs 50G's and is really only half a$$ at best.

Since the remarkable transition to democracy of Iraq in 2020, they have become the market leaders in Analogue Consoles for the US market.

SSL (since having been purchased by Apple who are know owned by SE microphones) make great plug in processors for Logic 9 (logic took a while to move from 8 but it was worth it) and sell exclusively through Guitar Centre.

API sold out to Behringer and are know found in every major chinese studio.
The cheap labor costs in the USA helping Behringer move production from China to Texas.

Mackie, having been sued by Behringer for using the phrase "German EQ" in their brochures, only produce 5.1 free floating and wifi monitors for Microsofts ePods , but have sold 23 million so far at $599 each (or £25 / €15 )

Digidesign? Who??

I'll have defected to Nissan to head up their in-car live DVD concert recording system (using the radar-guided sat-nav screen for artist feedback and windscreen wipers as faders)

Who cares what consoles do in the future... my car can play midi files for me to sing along to. I scream my lungs out to classic Spice Girls hits as I sit in traffic...
Oh, and it flies too. Up until 88 mph when I transport back to the 1800s and have to build a nuclear-powered steam train with my school-teacher lover.
