Thread Starter | Parallel Compression..
OK I finally made parallel compression sound good. I've read it on this board before but only just tried it out. The trick is.. don't do it in the box. It souds mediocre using plugins. Ive just been trying it with a real world comp (Drawmer mx30) on a yamaha RM800 desk and it sounds really really good. A lot of you may already no this but if you haven't yet tried it you really should. |

Agreed, parallel compression in the box using plugs doesnt come close. Ones like playing a video game simulation and one is well playing the game in real life.

Yes. I parallel compress my entire drum subgroup with a Symetrix 525... for heavy rock it sounds incredibly fat. Not even close with plugs. Even good plugs.
