Ding! Radio play for spec project!

So another spec deal act I am helping to launch (McFly) got radio play on the cool UK station XFM - (Claire Sturgess show, she plays one unsigned act per night) + she gave a good plug for a big music industry night gig of theirs tomorrow...

This year for me is all about spec..

he is from Helsinki His name is Antti Koskenen

They will be doing a gig in Helsinki very soon!

Club called - Semi Final 19th July

Check for stage times 11pm or 1am I am not sure (I wont be there)

Please go up to the singer and say hello from me!

Jules and his spec deals....tut

I've been approached by several unsigned acts that I believe in, and I hate for money to guild what gig's I do, and pass on. How do you typically no about your specs deal? Any tips? What are some ways to cover your behind? "Help my OB1, you're my only home"

Considering that Jules is entrenched in acoustic warfare at the moment I doubt he even knows this yet but...

His band McFly have just been added to the C list (and rising!) of the Student Broadcasting Network here in the UK!

This is bloody great. It's essentially the CMJ of the UK and VERY difficult to fight your way onto because of the marketing power of Majors (similar to the US).

Jules are you still involed with this band? I read in this month's Resolution that Huge Padgham had a #1 with them. I guess it was very good for him since it allowed him to get a new room and a new SSL 4k. I did a search here at GS and this thread came up so I thought I'd ask.
