Is there a place where you can sell your composed music to artists?

basically what I said above....

If I had some songs that I wrote that had a good groove and that I felt could be great for another artist, is there a place I could let say put on a market for purchase?

I write tons and tons of music that goes nowhere so... If I can find a home for them plz let me know

Good question. I would also like to add (sorry) that if someone also knows how to solicit your music for movies/tv shows and such.

Perhaps you can send your demos to music publishers?

A friend of mine went through Taxi and had some minor success getting his songs licensed for some movies. I think that Taxi does work for what your talking about. Watch out though, some people have criticized Taxi. My friend has never had anything bad to say about them.

Otherwise hooking up with some kind of guild like they have in Nashville may work to network. I know that record companies or publishers do not and will not accept any unsolicited demos because of fear of you coming back later and saying that they stole that song you sent them. Good luck!

TAXI

Do a search here.

Better still, email or call Michael from TAXI yourself to learn more.

Very honest, very genuine guy from my experiences.

The only people who don't like TAXI and / or Michael are the ones who don't (and probably never will) 'own' their situation / circumstances / failures.

Gotta make it to the top
As I get closer you get further
Babe why dont you help me up"

i think it goes good with jazz/swing

there are real listings on http://www.songquarters.com/ and it's way cheaper than taxi...sometimes you need a lawyer or a manager...but some of them let you email without one...

with this you know who's looking for what....i don't think 150 bux is a bad investment to know who's making an album and looking for songs....at the very least, it will inspire you to think about what's going on in the biz and maybe try to write for someone...

you guys can think i'm a nut for trying it, but i know some lawyers and managers and all the info is legit...

(sometimes i wonder if i'm a nut!)

just my 2

oh and there are a lot of up and coming artists there too...so lots of opportunities if you have the songs to pitch (i wish i had more songs)
