Thread Starter | Anyone know of a passive bus switching unit?
Wondering if there's such a thing as a passive box for , say, line/keyboard 16 inputs with up to 8 busses per channel which can then be amplified by external pre's. so basically the bussing section of a desk but with no built in amps.. any ideas?

I am fairly sure you would need an amplifier on each inputat the very least, otherwise the distortion and other nastys would be unacceptable... otherwise, what you are asking for is easily built.. 16 inputs with an 8 way switch on each one.

Opamp Labs make some of those. I've seen some that were entirely passive on Ebay. ******//www.opamplabs.com/#SW From your description, it sounds like what you really want is a patchbay. |
