Thread Starter | D&R 4000 console help needed.
I have a D&R series 4000 mk-II that has been treating me really well for the last year. Yesterday it freaked out and now it thinks that something is solo'ed even when nothing is solo'ed. (the PFL switch stays on and no audio passes through the console. I actually have a spare master section and I swapped it out, but the problem did not go away. Unless some one else has some advice I guess I will pull out all the channels and drop them back in one by one and see what effect that has.

check it with one channel taken out at a time. if the problem disappears, thats the faulty channel. if that does´nt help. check the busses, especially if they´re ribbon-cable. good luck

![]() I'd suggest you pull one module and check the voltage rails. If they are not +/- 18v (or thereabouts), pull the top off the PS and adjust them accordingly. I'm making the ASSumption that they should be +/- 18v. All the D&R's I've owned were, but the 4000 is a couple generations prior so it may be different. I'd be willing to bet that just may be your problem - not water, but the +/- rails being out of adjustment. Feel free to PM or call me. Bill | |

I just got a MKII series 4000 and restored it optically so far. I believe I have the same problem although my Voltages are +-18,8 I'd like to know how the problem was solved? Daniel |
