Roland RE-501 motor

my Roland RE-501 needs some repair..

i removed the tape loop a week ago, because the tape "coiled" around the rubber capstan.
i just needed the spring reverb at that time. after removing the tape, the motor was still ok.

now, i wanted to put some new tape in - but the pinchroller seems to not spinning.


what to do, what to check?

dou you say: R.I.P. 501?
