ROland Juno 6 oscillators vs Juno 60

AM I GOING MAD-BUT DOES THE JUNO 6 OSC SOUND FATER AND MORE "CHUNKY" THAN THE 60!
I have both of them set up her, now and Im sure the 6 sounds better than the 60
The 6 seems not to lock together as much as the 60-its more random-fatter-more expressive
BUT-am I correct in assuming they are controlled the same way, and have the same osc design
I am intrigued! any answers-any chance of comparing the 2 schematics?

I think Ive worked it out-its the ATTACK-the envelope is different
could this be possible??
Yours confused!!

As far as I know they have the exact same design/components. What you're hearing is likely a result of ageing components or because calibration.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that the slider values on the 60 is divided into 256 steps.
There were A/D converters added to the 60s redesign that are used to save the patches into memory.
