Alesis FST Connect on Windows 7 64-Bit and Mac OS X 10.8 Problems

Perhaps I'm not looking deep enough into the interwebs, but for some reason I have yet to find answers as to why Alesis has been hesitant on making their software compatible with Windows 7 64-Bit and Mac OS X, as I have had no success with both. This is obviously irritating when I had no unearthly idea that their software would cease to be compatible...ugh.

I noticed that there is a software called HD24Tools available for download(3rd Party Freeware), so I'll go ahead and test it out.

It doesn't seem surprising that there is no current OS support for FST Connect since Alesis has abandoned the HD-24.

I can highly recommend HD24tools as a far superior replacement for FST Connect. Not only is it faster and easier to use (and has more features), but the author is very available on the HD24 discussion group on Yahoo. HD24tools is everything that FST Connect is not.

My experience with HD24tools is that it doesn't care how the disk drive is connected, SATA, IDE, Firewire, USB, etc. (Unlike FST which requires their overpriced hardware).

Thanks rcrowley, I will be looking more into this software since my dad and I will be using the HD24 from time to time for future projects.
