| Build an Amp Out of an Old Suitcase and Radio?
I'm new to this forum so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.
I am trying to build my own amp. I think that I want to do a separate cab and head. Here's the thing, I want to make the cab out of this vintage tweed suitcase, and the head out of the housing of a 1940's radio.
So can somebody tell me basically, will this work? i'm mostly concerned about the cab. will a suitcase provide a decent housing for a cab? I realize that it would probably require cutting holes in the back (which would be the the lid of the suitcase). So, acoustically, what do you all think? Good idea? Or am I crazy?
By the way the dimensions are 26in. long, 15 1/2in wide, and 8 1/2in deep.
I just think this would be freakin cool. I would love to make a combo, but I don't think that it's deep enough... I know basically nothing about amp building though, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
